Caring for nature is anchored in our values. As
a family company it is our entity to provide the
same opportunities to future generations.
Weckerle is part of the Carbon Disclosure Project. As a non-profit-organization, the CDP discloses the greenhouse gas emission of companies with the target to reduce the worldwide CO² emissions.
Furthermore, we participate in the independent evaluation program EcoVadis, which provides Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ratings of suppliers, to encourage social and environmental activities in order to reduce risks, boost innovations, and create trust and transparency between business partners.
From January 01, 2022 we will switch com-pletely to electricity from renewable energies (green electricity).
This will enable us to take a further step to-wards climate neutrality and thus achieve a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
In addition, for years we have been contri-buting to offsetting all our CO2 emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by participating in climate protection projects run by zukunftswerk eG and have therefore been allowed to call ourselves a carbon-neutral company since 2022.

Since many years Weckerle Machines parti-cipates in the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project).
As a non-profit-organization, CDP discloses the greenhouse gas emission of companies with the target to reduce the worldwide CO² emis-sions. In 2021 we received a C-Score which is the same as the powered Machinery Sector Average.
In 2021 Weckerle GmbH received the Golden Recognition level based on the EcoVadis CSR assessment. Thanks to this success, we are among the top 5% of performers assessed by EcoVadis.
The independent evaluation program EcoVadis pro-vides Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ratings of suppliers, to encourage social and environmental activities in order to reduce risks, boost innovations, and create trust and transparency between business partners.
Since many years Weckerle Machines is a Sedex Member.
In April 2021 we passed the SMETA Social Compliance Audit without any deviations (SMETA = Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit). This standard was developed by SEDEX, a not-for-profit member-ship organi-zation run on behalf of its members. With this standard, buyers and suppliers can optimize responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains.
SMETA is based on the criteria of the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code and applicable local legislation. Stating that we are a Sedex Member is a great way to show our custo-mers, stakeholders and investors that we are committed to being a responsible business and sourcing responsibly.
